Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil water, add salt, and cook spaghetti until al dente (about 8-10 minutes), reserving a cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Melt the Butter: Heat a skillet over medium heat, add butter, and let it melt completely.
  3. Sauté Garlic: Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Cook the Shrimp: Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  5. Add Lemon Flavor: Squeeze in lemon juice and add lemon zest. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Combine with Pasta: Add drained spaghetti to the skillet and stir to coat in garlic butter sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
  7. Garnish: Toss in chopped parsley just before serving, then serve warm in bowls.

Use fresh shrimp for best flavor. Reserve pasta water to adjust sauce consistency.
