Description
Fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, these Easy Belgian Waffles are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a cozy dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the waffle iron. Start by plugging in your waffle iron. Let it heat up while you prepare the batter.
- Mix dry ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Prepare wet ingredients. In another bowl, crack the two large eggs and beat them lightly. Then, add the milk along with the vegetable oil (or melted butter) and the vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Mix them together gently just until combined.
- Grease the waffle iron. If your waffle iron requires greasing, lightly brush or spray it with oil.
- Cook the waffles. Close the waffle iron and let it cook for a few minutes until the waffles are golden brown.
- Serve warm. Once cooked, carefully remove the waffles and serve them immediately with your favorite toppings.
Notes
You can store leftover waffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days, or freeze them for up to 3 months.
