  • 1/2 head cabbage (shredded into bite-sized pieces)
  • 2 carrots (shredded or thinly sliced)
  • 3 green onions (sliced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1.5 tbsp ginger (freshly grated)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp cooking oil (grapeseed or vegetable)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Pinch salt (to taste)
  • Pinch pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, brown sugar, and rice vinegar. Set aside.
  2. Cook the ground beef: Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the cooking oil and then the ground beef. Cook for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  3. Add aromatics: Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Season the mixture with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Add vegetables: Add the shredded cabbage and sliced carrots to the skillet. Stir and cook for about 3-4 minutes until the cabbage wilts and becomes tender.
  5. Combine everything: Drizzle the sauce over the beef and vegetable mixture. Toss everything to coat well in the sauce for about a minute.
  6. Serve: Plate the stir-fry on serving dishes. Garnish with sesame seeds and extra sriracha if desired.
