Description
These Roasted Brussels Sprouts are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with savory, caramelized flavor. This simple yet irresistible recipe proves why roasted Brussels sprouts are the best veggie side dish for any meal!
Ingredients
1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (optional for finishing)
Freshly grated Parmesan or a drizzle of honey (optional toppings)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
3. In a large bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
4. Spread them cut-side down on the baking sheet in a single layer.
5. Roast for 20–25 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through, until golden and crispy.
6. Remove from oven and drizzle with balsamic vinegar or honey, if desired.
7. Sprinkle with Parmesan or fresh herbs before serving warm.
Notes
For extra crispiness, don’t overcrowd the pan — give each sprout space to roast evenly.
Add chopped bacon or pancetta before roasting for a savory twist.
These sprouts pair perfectly with roasted chicken, salmon, or steak.
