Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Hoagie rolls or sandwich bread

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and green bell peppers to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened.
  3. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set them aside.
  4. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  5. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice it into thin strips.
  6. Return the sliced chicken to the skillet, add the softened cream cheese and stir until melted and coating the chicken.
  7. Mix in the sautéed vegetables.
  8. Fill hoagie rolls or sandwich bread with the chicken mixture.
  9. Top with shredded provolone cheese.
  10. For an extra touch, bake at 350°F for 5-10 minutes until cheese melts and bread gets crispy.
