- 2 cups of flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream the softened butter along with the sugar in another bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs to the butter and sugar mixture, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix the milk and vanilla extract into the egg and butter mixture.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the greased baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
