Description

A delightful twist on traditional sushi, combining fresh strawberries and creamy filling with sushi rice and nori.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Sweet rice (sushi rice)
  • Cream cheese
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Nori sheets (seaweed)

Instructions

  1. Cook the sweet rice according to package instructions and allow to cool to room temperature.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Lay a nori sheet shiny side down on a clean surface.
  4. Using wet hands, spread a thin layer of cooled rice over the nori, leaving an inch at the top edge free.
  5. Slice fresh strawberries and place them over the layer of rice.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the strawberries.
  7. Carefully roll the sushi away from you, pressing down gently, and wet the edge of the nori to seal it.
  8. Use a wet knife to slice the sushi into bite-sized pieces.
  9. Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or chocolate sauce for dipping. Best consumed within 1-2 days when stored properly.
