Description

A classic dessert with a delightful mix of salty pretzel crust, creamy filling, and fruity strawberry topping.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 6 oz strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 2 cups boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar in a large bowl and mix well.
  3. Press the pretzel mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan to form a crust.
  4. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool completely.
  5. Beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
  8. Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in 2 cups boiling water and stir until fully dissolved.
  9. Stir in sliced strawberries and allow to cool slightly.
  10. Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer and chill for at least 4 hours.
  11. Cut into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

For best flavor, enjoy within the first two days. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
