Ingredients

- 8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)
- 1 lb sausage (Italian or your choice)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil a pot of water, add a pinch of salt, and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the sausage until browned, breaking it into smaller pieces.
- Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in honey and soy sauce, and add red pepper flakes if desired. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and gently toss to coat with the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

For added flavor, consider mixing in vegetables like bell peppers or spinach while cooking the sausage and garlic.
