Description

A delightful pasta dish combining savory sausage with a sweet and sticky honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 1 lb sausage (Italian or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil a pot of water, add a pinch of salt, and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the sausage until browned, breaking it into smaller pieces.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in honey and soy sauce, and add red pepper flakes if desired. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and gently toss to coat with the sauce.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in vegetables like bell peppers or spinach while cooking the sausage and garlic.
