Ingredients

  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Prepare the Beef: Pat the beef chuck roast dry with paper towels and place it into the slow cooker.
  3. Coat the Beef: Pour the sauce mixture over the beef, ensuring it is well coated.
  4. Cook: Cover the slow cooker with its lid. Cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours until the meat is fork-tender.
