Description

A quick and elegant dish featuring succulent shrimp, garlic, and a zing of lemon, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Pasta, rice, or crusty bread (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Cook the shrimp until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Serve the shrimp scampi over cooked pasta, rice, or alongside crusty bread.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a creamier version, add a splash of heavy cream at the end. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
