Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and salted caramel sauce gently.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  7. Sprinkle sea salt on top of each dough ball.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, chill the cookie dough for 30 minutes before baking to prevent spreading.
