- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
- Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and salted caramel sauce gently.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Sprinkle sea salt on top of each dough ball.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, chill the cookie dough for 30 minutes before baking to prevent spreading.
