A creamy and cheesy side dish featuring layers of thinly sliced potatoes, onions, and cheese, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the cream of chicken soup and milk in a large bowl, stirring until well blended.
- Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray and layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom.
- Add half of the onions on top of the potatoes and then half of the shredded cheese.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the layered ingredients.
- Repeat the layering with the remaining ingredients, finishing with the cream mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper and dot with butter.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For variation, consider adding garlic, different vegetables, or using a gluten-free soup.
