Instructions

- Stir buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract into the egg and sugar mixture until well combined.

- Divide the batter in half and mix red food coloring into one half.
- Preheat the waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions.
- Pour classic batter on one side of the iron and red batter on the other. Swirl gently.
- Cook until golden brown, about 4-6 minutes. Remove and serve warm.
