- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the garlic in olive oil over medium heat for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the canned diced tomatoes and dried oregano to the skillet, stir, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Combine the cooked pasta into the sauce, tossing gently for 2 minutes to coat the pasta.
- Melt the shredded cheese into the pasta off heat until creamy.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
