Description

A classic dessert combining creamy peanut butter and sweet chocolate chips. Easy to make and sure to impress.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until creamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the baking soda and salt, then add to the wet mixture. Stir to combine.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them out.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers are soft.
  7. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Use smooth peanut butter for a creamier texture or crunchy for added texture. Chilling the dough for 30 minutes can improve the texture.
