- 1 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until creamy.
- In a separate bowl, mix the baking soda and salt, then add to the wet mixture. Stir to combine.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them out.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers are soft.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use smooth peanut butter for a creamier texture or crunchy for added texture. Chilling the dough for 30 minutes can improve the texture.
