Description
Crispy, flaky puff pastry twists filled with cheesy Parmesan goodness and fresh spinach — a quick, elegant snack that feels gourmet but takes minutes to make!
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
1 cup fresh spinach (chopped)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
1 tbsp butter (melted)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, mix spinach, Parmesan, mozzarella, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Unroll puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
4. Brush with melted butter, then spread the spinach-cheese mixture evenly over half of the pastry.
5. Fold the pastry over to cover the filling, pressing gently to seal.
6. Cut into 1-inch strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
7. Twist each strip several times and place on the prepared baking sheet.
8. Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
9. Bake 15–18 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
10. Cool slightly before serving and enjoy warm.
Notes
You can use frozen spinach — just thaw and squeeze out excess water.
Add a sprinkle of chili flakes for a spicy kick.
These twists pair perfectly with marinara or garlic aioli for dipping.
Best served fresh but can be reheated in an oven to restore crispiness.
