Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 3/4 cup dried cranberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well blended.
  5. Gradually blend the flour mixture into the wet ingredients, then gently fold in the orange zest and dried cranberries.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
