- Prepare your skillet: Begin by warming a large skillet over medium heat. Add the softened butter to the skillet. Allow it to melt, stirring occasionally until it starts bubbling gently.
- Sauté the aromatics: Once the butter is melted, add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté them in the bubbling butter for about 3-4 minutes. You want the onion to become translucent and fragrant, with the garlic releasing its lovely aroma.
- Cook the chicken: Add the diced chicken breast to the skillet. Spread it evenly across the skillet, making sure each piece gets some of that tasty butter. Cook for about 6-8 minutes until the chicken is golden brown and no longer pink in the center.
- Season the chicken: Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the chicken. This includes paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir it well to coat the chicken evenly with the spices.
- Add cream and broth: Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir the mixture to combine everything. Bring it to a soft simmer over medium heat. Let it cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly, making it creamy and rich.
- Garnish and serve: Just before serving, sprinkle fresh chopped parsley over the dish for a pop of color and freshness.
