Description

A creamy and flavorful one-pot meal of orzo pasta with Cajun seasoning, chicken, and cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the orzo, chicken broth, diced chicken, and Cajun seasoning in a large pot.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring well.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed, about 10-12 minutes.
  4. Add the heavy cream and grated Parmesan, stirring until creamy.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, omit chicken and use vegetable broth. Add vegetables for extra flavor.
