- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup cooked chicken, diced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Combine the orzo, chicken broth, diced chicken, and Cajun seasoning in a large pot.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring well.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed, about 10-12 minutes.
- Add the heavy cream and grated Parmesan, stirring until creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, omit chicken and use vegetable broth. Add vegetables for extra flavor.
