Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes until browned, then flip and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, combine honey and BBQ sauce; mix well.
  5. Pour the honey BBQ sauce over the chicken in the skillet, ensuring all pieces are well-coated.
  6. Add uncooked rice and chicken broth to the skillet, stir to combine.
  7. Bring to a simmer, cover, and reduce heat to low; cook for about 20 minutes.
  8. Check for doneness; if needed, cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.
