- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 (15 oz) cans tomato sauce
- 2 (14.5 oz) cans petit diced tomatoes
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil, add elbow macaroni, and cook until slightly undercooked.
- Drain the pasta and set it aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
- Pour in Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes; stir until combined.
- Add Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper; mix well.
- Fold the drained macaroni into the beef and sauce mixture.
- Sprinkle in the cheddar cheese and mix until melted.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve garnished with extra cheddar cheese or fresh parsley. Pairs well with a side salad or crusty bread.
