Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they start to turn pink.
  4. Toss in the asparagus, seasoning with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if desired.
  5. Cook everything together for another 3-4 minutes until the shrimp are fully cooked and the asparagus is tender but still crisp.
  6. Squeeze the lemon juice over the dish and stir well to combine all the flavors.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For maximum flavor, use fresh lemon juice and do not overcook the shrimp.
