- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they start to turn pink.
- Toss in the asparagus, seasoning with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if desired.
- Cook everything together for another 3-4 minutes until the shrimp are fully cooked and the asparagus is tender but still crisp.
- Squeeze the lemon juice over the dish and stir well to combine all the flavors.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For maximum flavor, use fresh lemon juice and do not overcook the shrimp.
