- 5 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or more to taste)
- 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined (leave tails intact if desired)
- 1 large lemon (juice and zest)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Kosher salt (to taste)
- Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the butter melts.
- Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, cooking for about 3 to 4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
- Stir in the fresh lemon juice and zest along with the chopped parsley.
- Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately, optionally over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
