Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or more to taste)
  • 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined (leave tails intact if desired)
  • 1 large lemon (juice and zest)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Kosher salt (to taste)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the butter melts.
  2. Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet, cooking for about 3 to 4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Stir in the fresh lemon juice and zest along with the chopped parsley.
  5. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  6. Serve immediately, optionally over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

Notes
