These Sweet and Spicy Whipped Feta Crostini are the perfect balance of creamy, tangy, and bold flavor. With whipped feta spread over crispy toasted bread and topped with honey chili drizzle, they make a stunning and delicious appetizer for any occasion.
Ingredients
1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (plus more for garnish)
1 tbsp hot honey or chili oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh thyme or mint leaves, for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.
3. Toast for 7–8 minutes, until golden and crisp. Set aside to cool slightly.
4. In a food processor, combine feta, cream cheese, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth and creamy.
5. Taste and season with salt and pepper if needed.
6. Spread a generous layer of whipped feta over each toasted crostini.
7. In a small bowl, mix honey with red pepper flakes (or use hot honey) to make the drizzle.
8. Drizzle the sweet and spicy honey mixture over each crostini.
9. Garnish with fresh thyme or mint leaves and a pinch of extra chili flakes.
10. Serve immediately for the perfect sweet-salty-spicy bite!
Notes
Use a mix of feta and goat cheese for a tangier flavor.
Add roasted grapes or sliced peaches for a fruity twist.
You can make the whipped feta ahead — just refrigerate and bring to room temp before serving.
