- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1/2 cup fruit preserves (e.g., strawberry, raspberry, or apple)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Flour (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface into a thin layer.
- Cut the pastry into rectangles (about 4×6 inches).
- Spoon fruit preserves onto half of each rectangle, leaving space around the edges.
- Brush the top with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze, then drizzle it over the baked strudels.
- Serve warm.
