- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

- 1/2 tsp cinnamon

- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a medium bowl until smooth.
- Add honey or maple syrup, applesauce, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine whole wheat flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Let the muffins cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
