Description

A fun twist on classic sloppy joes with garlicky bread and gooey cheese, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 loaf garlic bread
  • Shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the garlic bread packaging.
  2. Cook the beef in a large skillet over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes until browned, draining excess fat.
  3. Sauté the onion and garlic in the skillet until the onion becomes translucent, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Mix in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Prepare the garlic bread according to package instructions until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the sloppy joes by spooning the beef mixture over the toasted garlic bread.
  7. Melt the cheese on top of the beef mixture in the oven until bubbly.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For serving, consider toppings like pickles, jalapeños, or diced tomatoes. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 to 4 days.
