- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 loaf garlic bread
- Shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the garlic bread packaging.
- Cook the beef in a large skillet over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes until browned, draining excess fat.
- Sauté the onion and garlic in the skillet until the onion becomes translucent, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Mix in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Prepare the garlic bread according to package instructions until golden brown.
- Assemble the sloppy joes by spooning the beef mixture over the toasted garlic bread.
- Melt the cheese on top of the beef mixture in the oven until bubbly.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
