Indulgent fudgy brownies combined with the sweetness of strawberries and a crunchy topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
  • 1/2 cup rice krispie cereal

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine melted butter and sugar, then mix in eggs and 1 tsp vanilla.
  3. Fold in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the baking dish and bake for about 25 minutes.
  5. In a saucepan, melt chocolate chips and heavy cream, then stir in honey and 1/2 tsp vanilla.
  6. Fold in crushed strawberries and rice krispies into the chocolate mixture.
  7. Spread chocolate topping over cooled brownies.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, then cut and serve.
