  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • ½ pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar)
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the pre-baked pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan.
  3. Sauté the vegetables in melted butter for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika, cooking for another minute.
  5. Cook the shrimp until pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Thicken the mixture with flour, then whisk in heavy cream and milk.
  7. Add shredded cheese until melted.
  8. Fill the pie crust with the shrimp mixture.
  9. Prepare the topping with panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, and Parmesan.
  10. Top the pie with the breadcrumb mixture.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
