Ingredients

  • 1 package cake mix (yellow or white)
  • 2 cans strawberry pie filling (21 ounces each)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (sliced thin)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. In a medium bowl, melt 1/2 cup of butter until liquid.
  4. Combine the dry cake mix with the melted butter, stirring until the mixture is crumbly.
  5. Pour the strawberry pie filling into the prepared baking dish evenly.
  6. Lay the sliced cream cheese on top of the strawberry filling.
  7. Evenly distribute the crumbly cake mixture over the cream cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Let the cake sit for about 5 minutes before serving warm.
