Description

This Delightful Strawberry Pretzel Salad is the ultimate summer dessert hack — the perfect mix of salty, sweet, and creamy! With a crunchy pretzel crust, a fluffy cream cheese layer, and fresh strawberries in jello, it’s a refreshing treat that always steals the show.

Ingredients

Scale

**For the crust:**

2 cups crushed pretzels

3/4 cup melted butter

1/4 cup granulated sugar

**For the creamy layer:**

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

8 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)

**For the strawberry layer:**

1 (6 oz) package strawberry gelatin (Jell-O)

2 cups boiling water

2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

3. Bake crust for 10 minutes, then cool completely.

4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping until creamy.

5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust, making sure to seal the edges completely (to prevent the jello from seeping through).

6. Refrigerate while preparing the strawberry layer.

7. In a separate bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved.

8. Allow the mixture to cool slightly (about 10–15 minutes), then stir in the sliced strawberries.

9. Pour strawberry mixture gently over the chilled cream layer.

10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set before serving.

Notes

Make sure the cream layer fully seals the crust to keep it crisp.

Try using raspberries or mixed berries for a fun twist.

Use sugar-free jello for a lighter version.

Best served cold — perfect for picnics, BBQs, and potlucks!
