Delicious homemade mozzarella sticks with a crispy breading and gooey melted cheese, perfect for snacking or entertaining.

- 1 pound mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cut the mozzarella cheese into sticks about 1/2 inch thick.
- Create a breading station with flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another bowl, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
- Dredge each cheese stick in flour, dip in eggs, and roll in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
- Heat oil in a frying pan to about 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the cheese sticks in hot oil for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Chill the breaded cheese sticks for 30 minutes before frying for best results. They can be prepared in advance and frozen.
