Description

Delight in these crispy air fryer churro bites, providing a healthier take on the classic treat with a perfect crunch and sweet flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for coating)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Heat until boiling.
  2. Stir in the flour until a dough forms and mix well.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time until the dough is smooth.
  5. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Pipe small bites of dough onto parchment paper, spacing them out.
  8. Lightly spray the churro bites with cooking spray.
  9. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Mix the remaining sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  11. Once cooked, roll the churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
  12. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Best served warm. Can be enjoyed plain or with chocolate sauce/caramel for dipping.
