- 2 heads garlic
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 8 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese (divided)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Crostini or crackers (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the garlic by trimming the tops and drizzling with olive oil, then wrap in aluminum foil.
- Roast the garlic in the oven for about 50 minutes until soft and golden brown.
- Cool the garlic, then squeeze it into a bowl and mash until smooth.
- Mix the mashed garlic with cream cheese and sour cream until smooth, then fold in mozzarella, half the parmesan, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly, topping with the remaining parmesan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 28 minutes until hot and bubbly.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm with crostini or crackers.
Notes
Serve warm; great for parties. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
