- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: breadcrumbs for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pot or mixing bowl, combine cooked macaroni, shredded chicken, BBQ sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and milk. Mix well until combined and cheese is melted.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, and sprinkle breadcrumbs on top if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
This dish can be customized with various cheese types and toppings. For a vegetarian version, omit the chicken and add more vegetables.
