Description

Delightful heart-shaped chocolate cakes topped with pink frosting, perfect for Valentine’s Day.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup of butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • Pink frosting
  • Heart-shaped sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a heart-shaped cake pan.
  2. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter and sugar mixture, alternating with milk, mixing until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared heart-shaped cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Frost with pink frosting and top with heart-shaped sprinkles.
