- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 0.25 tsp salt
- Pink gel food coloring
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened (for frosting)
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
- 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
- Pink cake crumbs or cookie crumbs, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the large egg, egg yolk, and extracts; mix until well combined.
- Color your dough with pink gel food coloring until your desired shade is achieved.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and whisk them together.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
- Scoop portions of the dough and roll them into balls.
- Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper, place cookie balls, and gently flatten them.
- Bake in the oven for 10–12 minutes until the edges are set.
- Cool the cookies on the baking sheet completely.
- Make the frosting by combining cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Frost each cooled cookie generously and garnish with crumbs.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing and texture. Adjust the amount of food coloring for a vibrant hue.
