- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until combined.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just mixed.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop rounded balls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For softer cookies, do not overbake. Chill the dough for enhanced flavor and shape retention.
