  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare an 8-inch square baking pan by greasing it.
  3. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  4. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then blend in the oil, water, sugar, and vanilla.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  6. Combine the flour mixture with the wet mixture until no flour streaks remain.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts, if using.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Cool the brownies in the pan for at least 10 minutes, then cut into squares.
