Delicious and comforting bars that bring the flavors of cinnamon rolls into a simple, wholesome treat perfect for any time of day.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine rolled oats and brown sugar.
  3. Pour in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. Sprinkle in the baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt, and stir until evenly mixed.
  5. Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  6. Pour the oat mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before mixing powdered sugar with 1-2 tbsp milk for glaze and drizzle over the cooled bars.
  9. Let the glaze set before cutting into squares.

Notes

These bars can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature. Pair with coffee, fruit, or yogurt.
