Ingredients

- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine rolled oats and brown sugar.
- Pour in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- Sprinkle in the baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt, and stir until evenly mixed.
- Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- Pour the oat mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before mixing powdered sugar with 1-2 tbsp milk for glaze and drizzle over the cooled bars.
- Let the glaze set before cutting into squares.
Notes
These bars can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature. Pair with coffee, fruit, or yogurt.
