- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup icing sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients; mix gently until just blended.
- Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Prepare the glaze by mixing icing sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of milk until smooth.
- Once the bars cool, drizzle the glaze over the top.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
Serve slightly warm or at room temperature. For a special touch, sprinkle extra cinnamon on top or add chopped nuts.
