- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, mix creamy peanut butter and softened unsalted butter until smooth.
- Add granulated sugar and brown sugar, mix well, then add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mix gently until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and chopped peanuts if using.
- Drop rounded balls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are slightly underbaked.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
