- 1 and 1/2 cups granulated sugar

- 1 cup whole milk

- 4 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (for frosting)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
- Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix at medium speed for 2 minutes until the batter is smooth and well combined.
- Stir in the boiling water carefully. This step creates a thin batter, which is normal, and helps keep the cupcakes moist.
- Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of a cupcake. If it comes out clean, they are ready!
- Let the cupcakes cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Allow them to cool completely before frosting.
- Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until it comes to a boil. Pour the hot cream over the chopped semisweet chocolate in a bowl. Let it sit for a few minutes and then stir until smooth for the ganache.
- Beat the butter in a bowl until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, mixing until fluffy. Then, add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined for the frosting.
- Fill each cupcake with a teaspoon of the ganache and then frost each with the chocolate frosting. Serve and enjoy!
