- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and fluffy.
- Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Beat in the egg until well mixed.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes if it is too sticky. For variation, add nuts, dried fruit or use flavored cream cheese.
