Description
A deliciously cheesy, meaty mixture stuffed inside a crusty garlic bread loaf, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 loaf of crusty bread
- 1 lb steak (such as ribeye or flank steak), thinly sliced
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup garlic butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the garlic butter. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper and sauté until softened (about 5 minutes).
- Add the thinly sliced steak to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked (about 5–7 minutes).
- Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and hollow out some of the insides to create space for the filling.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed steak mixture with provolone cheese.
- Spoon the filling into the hollowed-out bread and pack it in well.
- Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet and bake for about 15–20 minutes until the cheese melts and the bread is golden-brown.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, slice, and serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add more garlic butter to the top of the loaf before baking, or experiment with different cheeses.
