Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup water (as needed)
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
  3. Add yogurt and softened butter. Mix until crumbly.
  4. Gradually add water until the dough comes together, then knead for 5 minutes.
  5. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, mix feta cheese, mozzarella, and parsley to prepare the filling.
  7. Roll out the dough to 1/8-inch thickness and cut out circles.
  8. Place a tablespoon of filling on one half of each circle, fold, and seal.
  9. Brush tops with beaten egg and place on a baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
