Ingredients

- 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground meat, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the meat is browned.
- Stir in the cooked rice, chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes (if using), salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix until combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and spread evenly.
- If using cheese, top the casserole with shredded cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
- Once done, take it out of the oven, serve hot, and enjoy.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, replace meat with lentils or beans. You can also add more vegetables for nutritional boost.
