Description

Deliciously rich and chocolaty Brownie Squares perfect for any occasion, easily customizable with nuts or chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • Sprinkles or heart-shaped candies for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking pan with butter or cooking spray.
  3. In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; whisk until well blended.
  4. In another bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter until smooth.
  5. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until creamy and uniform.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  8. Pour the brownie batter into the greased pan and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until set but slightly soft in the middle.
  10. Let cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then cut into squares.
  11. Decorate with sprinkles or candies before serving.

Notes
