- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat, stirring constantly until golden brown with a nutty aroma.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spaced a couple of inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers look slightly undercooked.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Consider adding nuts or oats for variations.
